Nissan invited a handful of journalists and other automotive enthusiast to conduct a short test drive of their newest electric vehicle. The prototype, known as "the mule", carries the engine of their electric model scheduled to hit market in 2010, but the body style of the existing Nissan Cube.
The test car, named the EV-02 for the time being, will likely be a compact sedan more in line with the looks and size of the Nissan Versa or Nissan Sentra rather than their newest mass produced vehicle, the Nissan Cube. The Nissan EV is slated for production in 2010 but will only be released in Seattle at first followed by 12 to 15 additional releases in other markets in the U.S later on that next year.
